We are about halfway through production, and while not much has changed, I want to share some details about the production process and the final retail prices.
This blog serves as a final reminder to pre-order your copy, whether to be delivered to you, picked up in Belgium, or collected at our Spiel Booth in Essen this October. Although the pre-order price has increased since production began, it remains discounted compared to the retail price. The retail price is set at 65 EUR (VAT included when bought at this website after production).
Production update
Previously, I mentioned the trays but did not include any design or mention of lids. After testing the preproduction copy, I decided a lid was essential to prevent the tiles from scattering when storing the box vertically or transporting it to your next game night.
I designed lids with a logo that matches the miniature boxes' logos and discussed a clicking system with the factory to secure it in place.
The remainder of the box contains cardboard compartments designed to keep the cards and pieces separate from the trays and player boards.
Board Game Wizard update
The team behind the Board Game Wizard app have recently upgraded the transcription algorithm, so it can now better interpret images and icons. The update now features the latest rules including the rocket, Solange and solo module.
Although the rulebook had been scrutinized and approached by people who really know what a rulebook is to correct my rookie attempts, the Board Game Wizard app helped me to test questions about the rules and it is perfect to keep errata and updated clarifications within reach of the player. One of them is already applied. Drafting an extra action token happens at the start of every round and not only during setup. The extra action is something that came into play to make the game better after playtesting and after some remarks that Paul Grogan made after testing the game in private. This was one of the reasons that such a significant rule has slipped thorough implementation during the completion of the rulebook.
You can always refer to Gemini or Chat GPT for rules questions, but it will not be confined to the most updated rulebook or updates from the designer since it is digging through a pool of existing rulebooks, websites, reviews and game versions. I am in contact with the Board Game Wizard team to implement errata and updates to the app's AI awareness, so we can tap into players rules feedback as efficient as possible.
Price updates

Those who have made early pre-orders in december 2025, will have the best deal, since the game box was still at 39 EUR. Those preordening from the US might even might remember not needing to add taxes to the order, which is good for them. This even compensates for the shipment expenses they had to make! My company still had a special (project expense) status until 2026 started. This year Armillary Games falls into the full VAT participation. The pre-orders before production for foreign destinations still fell under VAT of shipment destination, but now will fall under the 21% VAT in Belgium, since from now on, every sell will be sold and shipped from Belgium.
As long as the board game production is still running in China, the pre-order price is 45 EUR (excl. VAT) for the board game.
The miniatures have their actual prices of 15-25 EUR (excl. VAT), and the bundle of the three boxes go for 60 EUR (excl. VAT). If you pre-ordered the bundle earlier, it should have been like 55 EUR (excl. VAT). I tried to combine the shipment for those who have pre-ordered bundles. Only those who have pre-ordered the miniatures alone will have gotten their copies by now.
If you still want to order a complete bundle before the production stops in September, you will look at a price of 105 EUR (excl. VAT).
Last call for pre-orders
Until 21st of September the code "ASTROMINIS 2026" gives you a discount of 5 EUR on the miniature bundle, turning the current all-in price into exactly 100 EUR.

For the latter choice, your copy will be marked and saved for personal pickup in Essen.
Don't forget to choose pickup as the delivery method after entering your details with pickup choice.
Buying the game in Spiel will cost you 65 EUR with VAT included this time. The Miniatures will retain their separate price, but the above-mentioned bundle discount will not be valid anymore, turning the all-in price into about 137 EUR, provided there are still miniatures left.
The total bundel of game and miniatures will be available at our Spiel Booth as long as our supply allows. The miniatures will not be available online during Spiel, because we will probably run out of the supply during the 4 days. We will subtract the pre-order supply before the Spiel event and divide the remaining boxes from each type into 4 days. This way, every Spiel visitor has a shot at getting them, no matter which day they come. It will be first come first served. Once the miniatures are sold out they might be reprinted if the demand is high enough or during future expansion releases, but there are no guarantees they will come back.
